Lincoln Peirce - Big Nate on a Roll

You mean the name Lincoln Peirce doesn’t ring a bell?  Really?

The first thing I have to say is you need to read more comic strips.
The second thing is you are missing out.
I came across Big Nate about 15 years ago. I loved the little guy and his adventures through school. If he isn’t in your local paper or you don’t get a paper you can follow him and others at Comics.com.  In fact, that is how I stumbled across Big Nate – through the internet.
I dragged Kae, the wife, to this. I was excited. As with any character you’ve been watching or reading for over a decade, you feel like you know them and they are part of your family. I wanted to introduce the wife to the old family friend, Nate.

Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson B&N Frisco

Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson have been writing together for years. While you probably know then for writing very different books, The Bridge to Never Land is the 5th book in the Peter Pan mythology they created.
As they acted out a scene (wearing pirate hats and using fake voices) they entertained the small crowd. Their readers ranged from 10 to 40 years and a lot of their readers have grown up on these books.

Jenny McCarthy B&N 10/2010

A few months back (alright just about a year ago) Jenny McCarthy was in town signing her book: Lust, Love & Faking it.
I like Jenny McCarthy. Besides being my type (beautiful) she is funny and likes to laugh and is willing to be laughed at because she knows we all get laughed at some times.  She freely admits her humor is more adolescent than intelligentsia and I like that in her too.
Jenny McCarthy is famous from posing in Playboy.  Jenny also has an autistic child.  She has become an advocate of some theories about the causes and amelioration of autism.
