Maggie Geha DragonCon 2019

One day. Yes, one day, I’ll watch Gotham and really enjoy it. Then I can  relish the fact I got all of the actors autographs long before I watched.

Of course, now while I’m getting their autographs, I don’t have much to say to them about the show.

Maggie Geha was stunningly pretty in person. She was quiet but that could be I didn’t have much to say. I really liked that she drew some ivy leaves under her signature.

Ben McKenzie – Fan Expo Dallas 2018

Ben McKenzie was on my ‘maybe’ list.  I expected a long line for him and wasn’t sure if I wanted to invest the time there.  However, that was before the Jeff Goldblum line was so efficient. I had time to spare.

When I finished up with Eliza, I walked over to Ben’s line. He was about to break for lunch.  No one was in line. I asked when he was coming back. Everyone at the table waved me in. I quickly got his autograph. He was nice. Had a firm handshake and winning smile.

I swear, one day I will watch the DC universe on the WB.

Erin Richards Walker Stalker 2016

I am sure there are a few autographs from Gotham actors that I’m missing but it can’t be many.  Erin Richards was at Walker Stalker and I got her first thing in the morning.

She was full of energy. When she learned my name she told me that my name just needed one more letter and it would mean ‘lion’. I had no idea what she was talking about but I nodded and said 'wow, I didn’t know that'.

So when she signed, she had to include my name and a comment about being a lion.

I tried a google search. I didn’t find that but there is a ‘Lewis the Lion’ character and maybe that is what she was referring.  It was a fun a conversation.

David Mazouz Dallas ComicCon Fan Days 2016

At times, I see the sickness in me and I say: What am I doing?

Other times, I see the sickness and say: But of course you need this autograph!

I have already admitted I never watched Gotham. I have also admitted I have picked up a lot of autographs from this show.

David Mazouz attended Dallas ComicCon.  He’s young.  He was friendly. I intimidated him.

I walked up and smiled and said: Staying out of trouble?

His head jerked back. He straightened his shoulders.  He replied: Yes, Sir.

Me: Are you enjoying Dallas?

David: Yes, I’m having a great time.

I felt like a school teacher and he was student.  I was smiling but I think he was taking me too seriously. He’s 15. What does he know of silly sarcastic old men?

I saw that I put him on his heels. I made a few more attempt to ease the situation. It wasn’t going to happen. I took my photo with the cool bat he drew on it and thanked him.

Drew Powell and Robin Lord Taylor Dallas ComicCon 2015

Two more autographs from the cast of Gotham. For a show I have never watched, I certainly have picked up a lot of signatures.  Can you hear the wife in the background?  She is saying I have a problem…

Drew Powell and Robin Lord Taylor almost sat next to each other. It made it easy for them to chat as they signed.  The people in either of the lines were going to get both of them.  Both actors were friendly and did photo ops at their tables. At times they both joined in for a photo for a lucky fan.

Gotham ComicPalooza 2015

Okay, let me admit up front, I haven’t watched Gotham. I know everyone tells me it’s awesome.  I’m sure it is and I’m sure I’ll enjoy it.  I really don’t have time to watch even more TV.

The first auto I picked up at ComicPalooza was Sean Pertwee. He was one of the few still at the show when I got there about 4PM on Friday. Just a quick factoid, and not to diminish Sean, his dad was Jon Pertwee from Dr Who.

On Saturday I got the other 4 cast members from Gotham.

The first was Donal Logue. I would say a ¼ of the crowd was there to see him because of his role in Vikings.

Cameron Monaghan was next. Everyone was peppering him with questions about next season.

Cory Michael Smith was friendly. He mentioned he had just flown back from France for a film festival.

Lastly was Camren Bicondova.

For a show I have never watched, I got 5 stars signatures.  And not long after ComicPalooza, I picked up a 6th autograph from the show at another convention.  This might be karma saying I need to start watching.
