I passed by Todd Haberkorn’s table several times as his line was usually long When the line was more acceptable, I stepped in. He was friendly and chatted with everyone.
When I got the front of the table, I was looking for something Star Trek oriented. He played Spock in Star Trek Continues. His handlers pointed out this 8x10.
Because he was chatting with people, they had a Lego set on
the table with the photos. Each person was to complete one step of the
instructions for the project. It was a way to pass the time. It was a neat idea…until
you remember it means everyone is handling Lego pieces in the COVID World. I pushed
that thought to the side. The handler read the directions and helped identify
which piece to use and how to add it. I think
I did good since I haven’t played with Legos in 50 years.
When I handed my photo over, we chatted. I asked if he was
really from Arlington, TX. I wondered if he knew one of the radio personalities
on a local sports station (since the radio guy is also from Arlington). Todd is
from Arlington but hasn’t lived there in a while and he didn’t know the radio
guy. No worries. But we did talk about LA traffic and Dallas traffic. Compared pot
holes and crazy drivers.
It was a fun chat.
