I chatted with Sheryl Lee first. She was friendly. After she signed, I asked if she ever read the book Vampire$. She was confused. Since she was in the movie and the author was from the Dallas area, I wondered if she ever read it. She thought that it was an original story from Carpenter. I said it was VERY loosely based on the book. I told her the author only wrote 2 books but he was a fun and interesting guy.
There were people in line and I didn’t need to make then
wait. I toyed with the idea of giving her my copy of the book the next day. That
seemed kind of stalkerish so I dropped that thought.
The other Tin Peaks signature was Ray Wise. He has worked a
lot and I have seen him many movies and TV series. Once he signed, I mentioned
really enjoying him in Psych. I told him both The Wife and I just finished rewatching
the series. He said it was fun and was glad he got to be in one of the movies.
