The convention was at the town event center. It’s nice. I was
surprised I could get parking a few rows from the front door. That is not a complaint.
I liked this convention. It’s small. The guest list was very nice considering
the size of the show. The drive wasn’t hard. I’ve driven further for a
convention. And there is a Bucc-ees not too far away.
After entering the main floor, I quickly found where most of
the guests were. I walked up to Bruce McGill. If the name doesn’t ring a bell,
his face does. I always think of the sheriff in My Cousin Vinny but most of you
probably think Animal House. Whatever. He
had done a LOT of work.
The best photo I found to print came from Rizzoli &
Isles. We chatted a bit. Just the standard
stuff. Then I asked if he was town ‘x in Texas. (I don’t want to besmirch the location
so I withhold the name.) He smiled and said
something like: That rat hole!?! No, I’m from San Antonio. (Yes, his chest swelled
with pride as he uttered those words.)
Then it was time to move on.
