Laurence Fishburne Comicpalooza 2026

The big reason I wanted to be early at Comicpalooza was to ensure I didn’t miss Laurence Fishburne. He was the big headliner and I expected to wait hours for this one.  While I did wait, it wasn’t that bad. Based on the line and the size of the waiting area, they did not get the crowd they expected. Bad for Comicpalooza but good for me.

A few weeks prior, I found a photo I liked and printed it. at the show, the table photos had some photos which were similar but not as good as my photo and not cropped how I wanted.

The encounter with Laurence was brief and done before I knew it. I did get to say I loved Searching for Bobby Fisher. He replied the movie still holds up. I agree.

I wish he wasn’t so fast to sign. He had a nice green pen that would have given a neat Matrix green contrast to the black and white of the photo.  His black sharpie does look good and it’s a nice sized signature.

I’m happy.
