George Takei Fan Expo Dallas 2016

This is the lastest modern autograph from the main crew of the original series. I mentioned earlier how I got a lot of autographs as a young teen. Fan Expo Dallas provided me a chance to get George Takei again.

When I was getting my autograph from George, I mentioned the convention in Philly. I told him I ‘ran’ with him. He knew what was coming next. He ran at all of the conventions he attended. He knew the next part. He asked how it worked out. We both smiled when I said I was quickly left in the dust.  He did say I had a chance now of keeping up with him as he is much older.  I doubt I could keep up even now.

Now that we have moved and I have a little more elbow room in the house, it’s easier to pull things out and show them.

These are three books from signings I picked over the years. I already chronicled the Nimoy signing.

George Takei was nice. I had a few seconds to mention the convention in 1977. I told him I was a bratty little kid when I saw him. He asked if I was still bratty. Pretty funny.  He added the line about running because I mentioned I attempted to run with him.

I honestly don’t remember a thing about Walter Koenig’s signing. Obviously, I wasn’t very witty.
