The Magicians Comicpalooza 2022

I’ve mentioned before I enjoyed the show, The Magicians. Comicpalooza ended up with 3 of the actors at this show.  Two of the actors I have not seen before. I was pumped.

I was asked to wear a mask before I got in line. I was handed one to use.  I walked up to Stella Maeve as she was talking to the first couple.  They were Stella’s FIRST ComicCon autographs.  Everyone was excited.

When they left, I walked up and said, I was smiling under my mask. Then I blathered a bit about enjoying the show and the journey her character traveled. It was a good encounter.

Then I exited and walked over to Trevor Einhorn. He was also friendly. He commented on the photo I brought. He told me how trainable rabbits were. I just thought it was funny to have time traveling messaging bunnies.

Harvey Guillen DragonCon 2021

Yes, I might be the last person in America not to watch, What We Do in the Shadows.  I have heard good thing. It just hasn’t made its way to my viewing schedule.

Harvey Guillen was at DragonCon.  While his line was never very long, he ALWAYS had 2 or 3 people in line.  Which in the long run, is a long line. He fans all wanted to chat and he was very interactive with them.

When I mentioned I was from Dallas, he told me he was going to be there for a show soon. Yep, I relied, Texas Frightmare Weekend at the airport. I said it’s also a good show. I actually know him from The Magicians but I like this photo from his current show better.

Olivia Taylor Dudley – Magicians DragonCon 2019

I really enjoy The Magicians. Sometimes the plot loses me but I still enjoy the show.  Over the years, the actors haven’t done many appearances and I’m not aware that SDCC had any cast signings. Any appearance is eagerly awaited by me.

When I learned that Olivia Taylor Dudley was scheduled to attend DragonCon, I was happy. When the day arrived and I finally got to met her, she was pleasant. She smiled as I tried to be funny and compliment her.

Hale Appleman Wizard World Tulsa 2018

I traveled up to Tulsa, OK. It was a rainy morning but an easy drive.

While Hale Appleman was about 20 minutes late, he more than made up for it with being personal and outgoing.

The lady in front of me was from Denver and he was shocked that someone from Denver would travel that far for a comciccon.  He also seemed shocked that I came from Dallas.  In all fairness, he might not know how far away Dallas is.

We chatted about the show he is in, The Magicians. He signed the photo I brought. I printed it off for San Diego but never bumped into him.  I watched as this fellow lefty wrote. His palm never touched the photo to avoid smearing the ink. We chatted about the photo and the episode where he grew old.

Then because he was excited, he come out from behind the table and asked if he could hug me.  We hugged.
