When I saw that he was coming to the Addison Improv, I quickly
got tickets and hoped to get an autograph. This appearance was scheduled after the World
Series of Poker and I really wanted to ask him how he did.
The show was great. He was funny and his impersonations were spot
on. After the show he did a ‘meet and
greet’ with anyone that cared to line up. He sold books (at a discount and he
signed them) and he posed for photos. He was constantly chatting and engaging the
fans.
I bought a book and he signed my photo. I left with a smile on my face. The wife and I
were walking back to the car and I realized I never asked how he did in the
poker tourney. Ugh! That would have been a great conversation opener.
Even though I didn’t get a memorable quote, I had a great
time adding to my collection.

So wonderful when they are painless experiences, sounds like you just had a minor brain fart ;-)
ReplyDeleteDaniel – you are absolutely right – a brain fart!
