XO Coffee in Plano had an opening celebration in March. To celebrate,
they had David Hasselhoff appear for photos and autographs. Pretty cool. How did
they wrangle David? David is related to the owner.
When I got to the event, the line was wrapped around the
corner. Maybe 200 people in line. The line
moved slowly as Dave was taking photos with everyone and ‘ideally’ you were supposed
to make a purchase before getting an autograph. Not being a coffee drinker, I choose
the lemonade. It was a very good lemonade. They
also had some cupcakes that looked delicious. After describing the treats to
the wife, she wants to make a trip out there.
The event had a duet singing. The TV played David Hasselhoff
music videos. David was in the back chatting, posing, and signing. He was energetic and friendly. He gave everyone
a few moments to say their piece. Although,
it took close to 2 hours, it was a good signing.
