As I was wandering aimlessly through the rooms of Chiller, I
stumbled across Thomas Ian Nicholas. The name didn’t ring a bell and I’m not a
huge American Pie fan so I was slowly moving on. Then I saw a photo of Rowengartner . I stopped
and picked up the photo. I had to get it signed.
Yes, I do think Rookie of a Year is a great movie. I watch it a
few times every year. And yes, I do love Little Big League too.
I told him I would not beat him down with how
much I like the movie. He said it wasn’t a problem. He was not embarrassed about
it. I mentioned how I like the plate discussion of the ‘had-attude’ and he
added to the signature. It’s not a perfect quote but still nice.
As I was showing this to The Wife, she mentioned, I should
have gotten a photo of him at the plate and praying: ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod. That would have been good too. Next time.

ReplyDeleteIt's not my favorite movie. I've seen it once. For me, that was enough. I really enough Rookie of the Year. This was more meaningful.
