While the line wasn’t long for Orlando Jones, it was slow. Not
molasses slow like the lines in Dallas but slow. Orlando was enjoying himself. While
his language was not rated G, he was very friendly and very inclusive with his
conversations. He ‘Facebook Live’ at least
once and has his handler Twit a few times. He was taking pictures of the fans so
he could post them later. It was energetic and fun.
I brought my American Gods poster from SDCC. He knew what that
was and how and where I got it. He appreciated
the effort and that I wanted him to also sign it. He mentioned he missed that
SDCC because he was in Africa. But he
was a fan of San Diego. He reminded me
he was the minister marrying nerds at the SYFY location last year. Yes, he is ordained.
And yes, he was really marrying young geeks
full of love.
After he signed my poster I had him sign a photo from Sleepy
Hollow. I told him The Wife and I really enjoyed that show too. He said he was proud of that part. It was so unlike
himself. He played a character that would
not like the wise-cracking class clown that is Orlando Jones.
