I attended the Dallas Card Show on Saturday May 22, 2021. That was the first card show I’ve attended in a long long time. I’m glad I did. My card show muscles were very rusty. I had a good time. It was also good to go any type of convention after the long COVID break.
The name that drew me to this show was Lenny Dykstra. Being a Phillies fan, I was happy the Phillies got him form the Mets. I also appreciate the important part he played in getting the Phils to the ‘93 World Series. He had a great post season. While the season ended in a disappointment for Philly Phans, it was a magical year.
Lenny was nice. He signed and asked if he could add his number.
Dwight ‘Doc’ Gooden was also at the show. He’s one of the
players that I didn’t like because he tormented my Phillies but I could appreciate
his skills.
Then Bill Madlock was there. I could still picture him in the yellow Pirates uniform from the 70’s.
All three were friendly and tried to say a few words to everyone
in line.
