My autograph skills are rusty. I got in line way too late for
this bottle signing by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul.
The signing was at 11 AM. I got there about 7 AM. I’m
guessing a 1000 people were in front of me. I was very lucky that one of my buddies
got there at 5:30. At that time, only 200 people were already braving the
chilly dawn. I hung out with my buddy.
When Bryan and Aaron finally got to the store, the slowly
drove along the crowd. They were waving and videoing us and we videoed
them. It woke everyone up and the buzz for
the event ramped up.
Once the signing started, the line moved at a good clip. Between
the store employees and the posse for the bottling company, they were organized.
One person kept the table filled with unsigned bottles. Another was taking your
camera for selfies and directing to stand on the ‘X’ taped to the floor. (Just
like on TV!) While you were being
directed, the celebs signed a bottle or two to add to a stockpile. Once the
photo was done, you got a fist bump and a chance to say thank you. Then a third
person handed you a signed bottle. They pointed you to the next person and that
one directed you to the cashiers.
Easy peasy.
