As you can expect, I was excited when I saw Charlie Sheen listed for a show. One of autograph buddies and I drove down to Houston to get this autograph.
Besides a near ‘Final Destination’ moment where a pickup
truck jammed on it’s brakes in front of us on I45 and then drove in reverse,
the 4 hour trip was uneventful. Because I was a passenger, I could not see the
near misses from other cars in the rear-view mirror…but I did hear my buddy’s prayers.
It seemed the truck decided to go the other direction on I45.
Charlie Sheen seemed to be the biggest name at this show. He
had a very long line for photo ops. Once the photos were done and a short break,
he started signing. Charlie did a lot of
smiling and the line moved fast, but he still smiled, gave a glance up to each person,
and exchanged a few words.
When I thanked him for coming to Houston, he gave me a fist bump.
My original thought was getting a ball signed because of the
movie Major League. As I was searching for possible photos to print, I decided for
one from Platoon. I like my choice.
