The last autograph I got was the first one I attempted and spent the longest time in line to get. After an hour or so on Friday night, I left. I got a couple of other autographs and got back in line for another hour. Then gave up again.
Saturday, I tried to get in line but it was capped as he was
going to a panel or photo op. Later I got in line again and gave up. I needed
some water as the heat was draining. Then,
late on Saturday I tried one last time. I
got in line. The lady managing the line recognized me and said the line was moving
faster. Most of the ‘dealers’ are gone.
I figured if I didn’t get Dee Bradley Baker this time, it was
never going to happen. The line did move faster. However, it was also slowed
but how the table was set up. The photos were in a 3-ring binder. You leafed through
the pages until you found what you wanted. Then told the handler. And then she would
pull the photo from an unseen stack. Most people display all of the photos on
the table and you can figure out what you want before you talk to the handler.
After I selected my photo and paid, I stepped over to Dee Bradley
Baker. He saw the photo and said hello to me with the voice of the
character. Which is amazing considering
how many voices he does.
If you talk Star Wars with me, I’ll ask if you watched Bad
Batch yet. I really enjoy that show. I’ve really enjoyed most of the animated
Star Wars series. I also told Dee that too.
Since I was exhausted and it was hot, I took my photo and headed
back to the car. I was done for the day and he convention. I was looking
forward to the ride home with working air conditioning.
