Fan Expo had both Jen Taylor and Steve Downes for this convention. They do a lot
of shows. This time, I had the time to stand in their long lines.
I got Jen first. She was wearing a mask. She also had a headset on to chat though a speaker next to her. I thought it was a great idea. The volume was set low for privacy. There is so much background noise at a show, it’s often hard to hear. She added it helped prevent voice strain. Being a voice actor, it’s not good to hurt the voice and be out of work.
We chatted. Then she asked if she could add a quote. I love what
she wrote.
Next was Steve. His voice carried over the crowd. No head
set for him. He had a nice selection of table photos. I liked this one best…but
he did have one with part of the ringworld showing that caught my eye.
We shook. He signed. He added a quote. Another one I really
like. It reminds me of something we said in Krav Maga: Stay Strong. Basically meaning: finish the fight.
