Chris Parnell GalaxyCon OKC 2024

Chris Parnell has been to a lot of conventions. I have passed on him as I didn’t watch anything he did voice work on. However, recently I saw him in Fallout and I enjoyed that series and figured, now is the time. I ended up choosing a photo from Archer as I couldn’t find a good photo from Fallout.

Chris spent a minute or two with each fan. He didn’t rush people. He really seemed to be listening and engaged with the people that waited to see him. He gave me the same amount of time. He suggested the quote for the series and he said it as he wrote it. We both laughed.

Archer SDCC 2015

Reposing this as I forgot to add the photo.

I don’t watch Archer. It sounds like something that would be up my alley but I just don’t have time.  However, I do know Aisha Tyler is on it and I really wanted her autograph.

At times, the Fox booth will do stand- by for signings.  Meaning, if you didn’t get a winning raffle ticket, you might be able to work your way through the line after the ticketed people matriculate.  No guarantees. It depends if the cast shows on time, how slow/fast they are, how many tickets they gave away, how many people in line, how many people signing, and the mood of the people in the booth…it really just depends.

I got there and stood in the unofficial stand by line. I waited and I was able to get to the booth.  Really the only person I was focused on was Aisha. I watch her on ‘Whose Line is it Anyway’ and I love the show.

When I’m in front of her. She looked up and smiled. I told l her I love ‘Whose Line’. She gave a quick thank you. I blurt out that I work at Mark Kay. She paused. Wondering if security was close. it was an odd non sequitur. Then I mentioned 'scenes from a hat'.  I told her the show should contact Mary Kay to get them to sponsor the pink hat they use for that bit. Then the light bulb went on. She nodded and passed my mini poster to the side; signifying the conversation was over. Oh well. I spoke my peace. I got to see Aisha up close and personal.  And security did not escort me out the building.

It was good.

And these people also signed my mini poster:
