The movie, Karate Kid struck a nerve with a lot of people. Until
Dallas ComicCom brought in the main actors from the movie, I didn’t realize how
universal that appeal was. For me, the movie reminded me of the best of 2 years
of karate I took in high school.
Martin Kove was friendly. When I saw him, he was finishing
up a conversion with a fan about places to go to hear live music. Martin was
very interested in seeing a little bit more of Dallas than just the hotel and
convention center.
I liked that in him. This wasn’t just some stop to grind
through and endure.
